How much Champagne do you need for a party?

One of the most common questions when planning a celebration is: “How much champagne do I need?” The answer depends on your guest count, how long the event will last, and whether bubbly will be the main drink or just one option among several. As a general guideline, one standard 750 mL bottle of champagne or sparkling wine provides approximately six to eight mimosa servings, depending on the pour. If you're doing just bubbles, the bottle will provide approximately five to six glasses.

For a relaxed brunch where guests are enjoying other beverages, planning around half a bottle per person may be a comfortable option. For a longer celebration or a more lively event where bubbly is the drink of choice, you may want to plan closer to one bottle per person. It’s always helpful to consider your group, the event schedule, and whether guests will be drinking throughout the entire celebration.
